Rest in Peace to Actor and Writer Joseph Flaherty who passed away April 1st 2024. Born Joesph O’Flaherty in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Flaherty was the eldest of seven children and served in the United States Air Force for four years before moving to Chicago and joining the famed Second City Theater. Flaherty was one of the original writers and performers for SCTV where he spent eight years crafting memorable Characters.

Flaherty is most known to audiences as Harold Weir the protective and loving father on Freaks and Geeks and as the heckler who follows Happy Gilmore after being hired by Shooter McGavin. Flaherty leaves behind a legacy of laughter. You know what he is doing now? He’s Dead.
