While plenty of people will tell you there are far too many reboots, remakes, and a lack of original blockbusters in the summer, Twisters would have to be the exception to the rule. Twister (1996) was not some profound film that is above revisiting. It's a disaster movie. And those are fun! Starring Glen Powell as a hotshot internet celeb storm chaser and Daisy Edgar-Jones as a by-the-book big brain with a tortured twister past. Powell, outside of Gosling, might be the most charming man in America, and Edgar-Jones is the latest Brit poised to invade the states with some ah-shucks likeability. Twisters follows a new group of storm chasers as they take on Mother Nature. The storm scenes look tremendous, and the movie looks to have enough action-packed set pieces to keep it engaging even if the story feels well-worn. The film is out on July 19th and looks like one not to miss on the big screen
