Do You Have Any Pride, Yankees?
Tonight in the Bronx, it will be 61 degrees with a slight breeze blowing out to left. Luis Gil will be on the bump, and the Yankees are on the verge of becoming the 22nd team in World Series history to be swept.
This series effectively ended last Friday in the 10th inning of Game 1 with Freddie Freeman's walk-off grand slam. Since then, the Yankees have scored just 4 runs to the Dodgers' 8, and at no point have they looked like a team capable of beating LA. Watching these games, it feels like the Dodgers are simply the better team, with better vibes and a stronger sense of dynasty.
Which is why, at plus money (+124), I think the Dodgers are a great bet to win the World Series tonight. There have been 17 instances where a team down 3-0 staved off elimination, but unfortunately for Yankees fans, I don't see them becoming number 18 tonight. If they somehow manage to pull it off, I would double up on the Dodgers for the next game. At this point, it's not a matter of if, but when, LA will be World Series champions.
The Pick: Dodgers +124
