Total Takedown: Pacers at Knicks
Team Totals. It is a simple bet, one with historical data to leverage and an easy rooting interest to understand. Here, Callie TTs will take you through the game of the day using wit, readily available information, and vibes. I cannot stress this enough. Data and vibes are the backbone of a team total pick.
Tonight, we are looking at game one of the Eastern Conference semi-finals featuring the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers. The Knicks gave us one of the best opening rounds against the Sixers, winning game six in Philly. It also took the Pacers six games to dismiss a hobbled Bucks team. The Pacers head to the Garden to take on the Knicks, a throwback to some of the classic 90s series where the winner got the right to get dogwalked by the Bulls.
Tonight, the Pacers are five and a half-point underdogs with the current total at 217.5, which has increased throughout the day.
We are targeting a Pacers team total of 105.5 (-120). This too has moved throughout the day and increased to 107.5 in some places. Why did it move? Probably because the NSA watched me crunch the numbers and find this OVER.
The Pacers' regular season point average was 123.9. So far in the postseason, through six games, they are averaging 113. Meanwhile, the Knicks let up 121 points to these Pacers this season and 115 at Madison Square Garden. This postseason, they let up an average of 108.16 to a Sixers team that struggled offensively. The Pacers are a team that plays fast, has the edge on rest, and has been able to put up points against this Knicks team even at full strength (the Knicks are still without Julius Randle). I like the Pacers to get their 106, and the TTO to hit.
