The Sweetest Words in Sports

But I, I hear the call of a lifetime ring, Felt the need to get up for it - Spoon

Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers have gotten up for it. After falling down 0-3 in the Stanley Cup Final, Edmonton is just one game away from completing a comeback that has only been done once before.

Facing elimination just a week ago, the Oilers were able to successfully "drag them back to Alberta" last Tuesday winning 5-3 on the road. The Oilers then won game six decidedly 5-1 at home on Friday to force the sweetest words in sports: Game Seven.

The Oilers are back in Sunrise Florida tonight as they attempt to join the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs as the only team to come back and win a Stanley Cup Final after trailing 3-0.

And, oh boy, wouldn't that be great? Edmonton has not just survived the last three games and hung around but have stormed back into the series, scoring at least five goals in all three games on the back of their superstar, penalty kills, and making Bobrovsky look mortal again. If they want to be victorious tonight they will look to do more of the same.

If they can win tonight, Lord Stanley's Cup will return home for the first time in 31 years, and they will officially become America's Team.
