Total Takedown: Knicks at Pacers
Team Totals. It is a simple bet, one with historical data to leverage and an easy rooting interest to understand. Here, Cal TTs will take you through the game of the day using wit, readily available information, and vibes. I cannot stress this enough. Data and vibes are the backbone of a team total pick.
Data and VIBES, Data and VIBES. This total tonight is a big-time vibes pick. But I will give you the data that says I am wrong. Callie TT might just be Callie Knicks/Pacers. The hobbled Knicks are heading down to Indiana for game three. Let's examine their team total of 107.5 (-115).
Game two was a disaster for the Pacers. They got outscored 36 to 18 in the 3rd quarter, blowing the ten-point lead they were taking into the 2nd half and losing 130-121. Then Rick Carlisle came out with a big poopy diaper. I am not taking anything away from this Knicks team, but this is a Pacer team is allergic to defense. They let up an average of 114.75 postseason points and 128.5 points to the Knicks through the first two games. So why is the Knicks' total 107.5?
The Knicks will be on the road tonight without both Mitchell Robinson and OG. They have also listed Jalen Brunson as questionable. Between Brunson (35.6) and Anunoby (16.4) The Knicks are losing over 50 postseason points per game. Assuming Brunson is a go and limited the Kincks are still losing double digit point production.
Vibes: I feel like this is a Pacer team whose back is against the wall. They will have a fired-up home crowd, and after Carlisle's tantrum, I suspect a friendly whistle. Knicks 107 UNDER. I know it stinks. But hear me out, you have a better chance of naming the Knicks' 8th man than Thibs. They simply are too shorthanded to go out there and put up triple digits. Knicks under 107.5 (-115).
The Pick: Knicks 107.5 (-115) Under
